Who We Are
The executive board is a group of students, and PARC residents, that coordinates all of the activities at PARC, including weekly Munchies, social events, firesides, and more.
Sterling Ortiz (Class of 2022) is a freshman from Delray Beach, Florida studying Social Policy in the School of Education and Social Policy. He holds a work-study job for Medill School of Journalism researching local media and monopoly ownership, and uses his experiences in living in New York City and South Florida to inform his passions on public transportation. In his spare time, Sterling likes to attend Northwestern sports games and explore Chicago via the CTA.
As President, Sterling's role is to provide an agenda for the board, coordinate activity among its members, and act as PARC's figurehead and liaison with external groups.
Mulan Hua (Class of 2020) is a neuroscience major from Dublin, Ohio. On campus, she is also involved in China Care and Active Minds.
As Treasurer, Mulan keeps track of PARC's transactions and receipts and ensures that everything PARC does stays within its budget.
Hailing from Mountain View, California, Danny (class of 2022) is a first-year studying journalism and critical theory. For a double major, he's trying to decide between linguistics and philosophy. He also loves picking up new languages, and wants to study abroad in Germany for his full junior year -- after German, he wants to learn Italian or Greek. Squirrels, cats, and huckleberries fascinate him
Danny’s role as Academic Chair entails directing academic events at PARC, including firesides.
Tamara Kissoon & Zion Sylvester
Tamara (class of 2022), is a first year, originally from New Jersey, studying social policy and international studies with a minor in Portuguese.
Zion is a freshman (class of 2022) from South Florida. His academic interests are Neurobiology and Social Policy. When he’s not studying he’s probably dancing, shopping online, and/or listening to Queen Beyoncé.
As Co-Social Chairs, Tamara and Zion manage the weekly events at PARC, and plan and executes PARC's social events.
Digital Outreach Chair
Zaria Howell (class of 2022) is a first-year journalism major from New York by way of Pennsylvania. When she’s not fulfilling her roles as Marketing Editor of Blackboard Magazine or Outreach Chair for For Us, By Us, she can be found eating Asian cuisine or watching movies.
As Digital Outreach Chair, Zaria overseas PARC’s social media and is responsible for fostering online community engagement between PARC’s current and future members.
